About the Forum

..
The World Forum for Motor Museums is a biennial conference for people who work in motor and transportation museums. They meet to discuss the restoration and preservation of the world’s international motoring heritage. Delegates from nearly 1,000 motor museums in more than 50 countries are being invited to the 10th World Forum which will be held in the Haynes Motor Museum.

The museum is set in the shadow of the Hill Fort, Cadbury Castle, which is reputed to be the ancestral home of King Arthur of Round Table fame. In fact all of our conference rooms are named after the knights of the round table. i.e. the Merlin Suite, Sir Lancelot room.

The first World Forum was held at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire, England in November 1989. In addition to England, the conference has been held in four other countries: Australia, France, Germany, and the United States. The World Forum reaches car museums in nearly 50 countries.

News of the World Forum for Motor Museums in Haynes is being communicated to more than 1,000 auto/transportation museum sites in nearly 50 countries.

The museum database, created by the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu and updated by Haynes is likely to be the most accurate and complete such list in the world.  As a conference the World Forum for Motor Museums has a history of drawing a global audience.
