The Hotel

The World Forum Hotel has been chosen with great care and unlike other years it comes with full board during the times when we are not 'eating out'.  We have also secured an exceptionally good room rate for this excellent, very English, Stately Home at just £125 per room, per night.  This price is for up to two guests per night including breakfast and dinner in the hotel when we are 'staying in' so bring your partner to get excellent value for money.  The number of these rooms is strictly limited so please book early.

For those who want something special then Royale Room options are available starting at £175 per room, per night.  These rooms are situated in the historic Cricket House.  All are individually furnished and decorated with their own unique characteristics, whether that be a four poster bed, a spa bath in the bathroom, exceptional views of the grounds and parklands or extra space and touches of elegance.

Cricket St Thomas has huge historic interest and is surrounded by a wild life park full of exotic creatures. There is a cabaret every night and the rooms are of exceptional quality. BOOKING YOUR ROOMS MUST BE DONE BY EMAIL TO sue@haynesmotormuseum.co.uk

Networking is fundamental to the World Forum ethos so I urge you to use Cricket St Thomas where ‘networking’ can carry on until the early hours. There will be a number of hosted dinners held at Cricket St Thomas where you will be entertained by some of the UK`s motoring personalities.

Take the link to appreciate the full significance of this historic venue.

If you wish to use alternative accommodation then follow this link to local hotels in the area. Please let Sue Harrison, the World Forum secretary, know at sue@haynesmotormuseum.co.uk if you choose to stay at another hotel so we can help you with directions.

Flying in

There are a number of major airports that are dotted around the UK but the major airport is London Heathrow, others can be found at http://www.baa.co.uk/.

Remember it is your responsibility to travel from the airport to the hotel of your choice in time for the start of the World Forum on Monday morning the 17th of September 2007 but it would be a great shame to miss the Sunday evening (16th)cocktail party at Cricket St Thomas which promises to be an event that you will remember for the rest of your lives (more about that later).

Car Hire & Driving in the UK

Remember that in the UK we drive on the left (and have done so since the Romans invaded us back in 54BC) but you will very soon get used to our simple road system. Our country roads are a joy to drive and apart from the few straight ones the Romans constructed, they are refreshingly bendy following the contours and pathways of the Saxon field system.

Hiring a car is your responsibility and is best done from home with arrangements to pick up at your arrival airport. Try this link for the majority of our major hire companies.

Before and After the Event

Goodwood Revival will be held on August 31st and the 1st and 2nd of September 2007 so if you are coming for a long holiday you may want to visit Goodwood go to www.goodwood.co.uk

Beaulieu Autojumble will also be held on the 8th and 9th of September 2007 and that is a must if you need those really unobtainable parts click here to visit their website.

Keep an eye on this page for more events around the World Forum.
